The St. Margaret’s Bay Toy Library is a not-for-profit co-operative playgroup that was started in 1987 by six women from the Bay area. Their idea was not only that of a Toy Library, but of a place where families could come to play together and share resources in a relaxed and informal setting. Thanks to these women and those who followed them, the St. Margaret’s Bay Toy Library was formed.
We give children an opportunity to socialize and learn to cooperate with others while having the security of knowing their parent or caregiver is there with them. While the children play, adults can enjoy making friends, and sharing experiences. We also give families a chance to try out different toys which they can borrow to use at home.
